Did you just see that?

The adrenaline flies.  After such times, character's mouths tend to try and bridge the gap between perception and comprehension.  Sometimes this emerges as logorhea, other times as statements of the obvious.


Exclude the actual event and instead post the post fight or flight attempt at mental digestion to the comments.

Jay slapped his jeans with both hands. "I saw him move something but it was way to quick."

Karen nodded, looking again after the receding emergency lights.

"It was his hand, I guess. He was signaling, wasn't he?" Jay leaned against the car.

"I guess. I don't know, I wasn't looking, Jay." She walked away and sat on the curb.

"There was that moment. You know, when everything goes slow - I thought - I don't know - I guess I thought I could stop maybe but then it was too wet and then I felt the impact." He slumped down into a squatting postion.

Karen just stared at a street lamp.

"It was so light. Like hitting a can or something." He looked at Karen and knew she wasn't listening. "I felt like it should have been something more."
