Your Metaphor is Metastasizing

Skyscrapers Of The MidwestImaginary friends can become imaginary enemies.  Real friends can too.  All friends are subject to change, fictional or factual.  Imagine, friends, a land as fertile as it is boring.  This is a ripe field where fictional sowing leads to real harvests.
Plants of the imagination choke out whatever weeds banal reality has to offer.  Are then these reaped seeds hyper-real?  Stranger still, how many generations until their offspring become boring?  Two, perhaps three.  Then hyper-real is the new normal.  Tatoos are de riguer and disenchantment is charming.
So keep your imaginary friends close but your imaginary friends become enemies closer.
