Never the less, I find myself hinding and rinding as I read Cerebus. Why not just enjoy the story? Well, here's where I unrind the hind. You see, it's so hard to resist because well there's more to it than just story. There's another layer...
...and here's where you should stop me. "I say, chap. Get on with the story." But you won't because instead of reading the comic, you're reading this and so you've sacrificed your own sight for someone else's and that's when you become none so I'll get back to standing on my bucket before you kick it out from under me, eh?
...underneath. It starts as imitation. It moves quickly to satire or maybe starts there too but doesn't really blossom for a while. Yeah, so imitation and satire which really are the same thing or at least satire is already imitation by definition so it starts as mild satire and moves to medium satire while never getting quite so spicy as to lose the story line in the spice of humor.
The whole movement of mild to medium parallels the inverse growth of the aardvark's snout. It starts long and becomes mediumish, a coincidence I can't pass off as mere. It must mean, not just mere but that's how I got into this whole rind of a mess to begin with, thinking hinds were more than humor and rinds more than mere.
Yes. You can see process here and that's the point. You'll see process in these books too, and that becomes the point - if I recall correctly but it's been a while since I've read them so I look forward to enjoying the process again and making a hind of myself.
