Icon

Ego & Hubris: The Michael Malice StoryWant a character you can identify with?  How about not.  How about someone so idiosyncratic, so unique that there is at least one characteristic that you completely disagree with.  Yeah.  There's your icon.  Can you identify with that?  No?  Too bad, because I suspect the world is full of people you can't identify with then.
This is a comic book though.  You want simplicity - heroes in a half shell and villains in a full shell, right?  Not want - require - expect - demand.  This is white and black hat territory.  That shades of gray crap is for art films.
Happily, no.  Comics are becoming grayer these days.  It's tough to tell who (if anyone) is wearing the white hats out there but sometimes it seems as though they might all be wearing black hats... or want to be wearing black hats... and really if you can't tell who's got the white hats on then don't they really all have black hats.
Where is the street wise Hercules to fight the rising odds?
Will our story shine like a light... or end in the dark?
