Throm then lifted Sun-hop out of the ground and healed his legs. Without much fuss, the gods told the three friends they’d need to repair the church within a week or they too would be turned into statues.
Luckily, the townsfolk had grown fond of them and joined in the repair efforts. With the help of hundreds of laborers and the magic of the priest, they had the place almost fixed up within a day.
When, on the following day, the rest of their friends arrived, the witch and the wizard sped things along so quickly that they were done by lunch. They stayed the rest of the day to celebrate the new/old church and then left the next morning for home.
Once there, they were confronted with piles of ash. They had to rebuild. The ant queen started a new anthill, supplying workers. Noople drew up plans for the new houses. Funerals were held for the baker and fisherman, who were presumed dead in the fires.
